Scope of the study was to assess various options to produce renewable energy from energy crops alongside with various waste streams. Main options looked at were:
Production of oil seeds and the use of the oil in specific CHPs as well as their conversion into biodiesel.
Use of residues of the oil press and other appropriate waste streams as feedstock for an anaerobic digestor.
The study addressed both technical and economical aspects.
